Engagement Options

John H Powell Consulting (JHPC) is a niche consulting practice serving the unique needs of the Automated Point of Sale Industry (Traditional and Non-traditional Vending) and the Micro Payments Industry.

JHPC offers offers its clients four ways to engage:

Topic specific classes:

  • Formal presentations on selective topics
  • Includes follow on Q&A session
  • Briefings may be offered on site or virtually depending on topic and audience
  • Includes single use license for all briefing materials

Flat hourly rate:

  • $175 per hour
    • 10-hour minimum
    • Billed weekly in full hour increments
    • Client covers all travel related expenses
    • Terms 10 – 10, net 30
    • Client must remain current for consulting to continue

Project specific engagement:

  • Project defined by client’s statement of work
    • Project description
    • Consultant deliverable
    • Client deliverable
    • Project timeline with milestones
  • Fee quote based on work required
    • 1/3 down payment required prior to the start of the engagement
    • 1/3 due upon completion of mutually agreed upon milestones
    • 1/3 due upon completion
    • Client covers all travel related expenses
    • $10,000 minimum
  • Work product becomes the property of the client
  • Client guarantees JHPC staff access to all data, systems, materials, locations, and personnel as needed to complete the project on time

Retained services:

  • Retainer negotiated based on anticipated workload
  • Provides client ongoing access to JHPC services for any project or issue
  • Work product becomes the property of the client
  • $25,000 minimum
